A point of view
Let me give you a quick overview
Understanding yourself will be hard to understand at first…I know what you’re saying…I know who I am.
Let me explain… this is totally different, as well as having a grasp of your true inner self. It is a perspective, a knowing of who you are on the inside. Not just the overall thoughts of who you think you are.
Think about this…..anyone can say I know myself and start to explain what and who they are. Based on factors that are derived from your job, your relationship and your surroundings, home life, family, DNA. Well, let me tell you this, it’s none of the above. You’re probably thinking… how can it be none of these, this is what my life entails.

And there is your answer, we are not referring to what things are going on in your life. It’s more about what are the things which are happening behind the front-end end of your life. Only through deep thinking, meditation and the like of these would you come to understand who you really are.
The things which come to pass are things like our motivations, our thinking patterns and tendencies and our surroundings and our behaviour, our logic etc. Therefore without having the above we would find it really difficult to understand our own self-worth and what motivates us as well as having any value surrounding our self-worth.

There are ways in which we can start to understand our own place in this world, as well as understand ourselves. Here is a list below which highlights some strategies to employ to understand oneself.
- Meditate once a day
- Keep a daily journal and be honest
- Have more meaningful conversations.
- Learn a new skill
- Take on a new challenge
With these in mind, we can try to change our way of thinking and adapt to our current change in thought process.
